As you probably know, the roof certification process begins with
a roof inspection. Now you would assume (and rightfully so) that this inspection
would be done by someone with a license.
Not so. The truth is, MOST roofing inspections in
California's Central Valley are done by unlicensed and
therefore unqualified personnel who by virtue of being able to see, and
get up on a roof have deemed themselves roof inspectors.
The owner of the roofing company simply finds people in every
city who need work, talks them into doing free roof inspections, and if he sells
the repair work they do it (posing as his employees) and he
gets a cut.
This behavior is actually illegal, but hard to
enforce.
Ask one simple question: is the person inspecting my
roof a licensed contractor?
If the answer is not a simple yes, run away!

Your roof inspection report will be a 5 page report containing
ALL relevant information about the roof, and if the roof qualifies for
certification, you will not experience roof leaks within the certification
